I
learned something today,
That heroes have their flaws,
They either can't fly,
Or they can't climb walls.
Does superman takes steroids?
I guess we'll never know...
Things don't appear the way they are,
When everyone puts a on show.
We live in such a world,
Where we "believe what we see,"
But what happens when--
The truth is not what we see?
I guess it's tragic in a way,
To know even heroes have their flaws,
There really is no perfect role model--
To follow after all.
But let me tell you a story...
Yes, a story about a man,
That lived a while ago,
In a far away land.
He was a flawless man,
Not a blemish in His soul,
He was God, you see,
But the world did not know.
He was tortured and mocked,
He was hung up to die,
He was pierced for your sins,
So that you may not die.
He then rose from the dead,
To prove to mankind,
That He is the Messiah,
Whom death cannot bind.
All man are imperfect,
But
Christ is without flaw,
There seems to be a role model--
After all.

PEARL
A
grain of sand imbedded in the soft flesh of an oyster
The pain; an impurity tunnelling away at the hidden depths
The oyster, unbeknownst to the harsh and cruel world surrounding
him
Quietly struggles to rid his body of the offender.
Slowly, the single grain becomes a jagged cut
Followed by tears of pain
Not knowing why he hurts so, he presses on
Desperately seeking to purge his soft tissue.
Repairing the breach by fashioning a scab
Completely covering the torn membrane
The oyster begins to heal himself
Becoming stronger and wiser from the grain.
To the beholder, the healing scab has become a precious
pearl
A soft, glistening reminder of elegance and beauty.
To the oyster, but a testament of
a battle fought
a weakness overcome
a
victory won.
It is up to you to make the struggles of today
the
pearls of tomorrow.

WHILE
WRITING IN SHAFTFORD LIBRARY
I wouldn't know what to write for this title,
But not living in sin and not living idle,
Desire for this sweeps me like waves and tidal,
Knowing I need to pray more and read my Bible,
I want inner holiness and nations in revival.
I
have learned that by my flesh I am not able,
But by the Holy Spirit work I am capable,
To live in truth and no longer in fable,
This desire as I stop what I'm doing in this table.

You
Alone
You alone made heaven and earth
You alone
You alone watch over us
You alone
You alone know us,
care for us,
hold us up,
and send us forth.
You alone.
You alone strike fear in hearts
of Your enemies,
You alone judge the nations
You alone hold the hand
of the brokenhearted.
You alone comfort the ones
who have been called to stand
in the gap,
in the line of fire,
in the fiery furnace, and
in the pulpit. You alone.
You alone shall we call
Wonderful
Counselor
Mighty God.

(UNTITILED)
Difficult as it is to find,
the true love of your life
To hold ones hand and stay that way,
to sway and pray for another day
It's hard
to see if they're the one for you
to actually believe it's all coming true
To finally accept both truth and lie
Whether if they're the one God has planned in your life
Walking side
by side,
You only think if there will be another day like this
Another day like this to grow old with them
Another time to spend each moment to be with them
And now we
can only pray,
to ask God if they are the one
Trying to fight the desires in our lives
to just see if they were right

DANGER
FROM MY SIN: A PLEA
Oh Lord, hold me in your arm,
Save me from my self destructive harm,
How dangerous my sin can be,
Though I'm wrong, yet I can be angry!
The
truth, in our sins we can suppress,
Know the Bible in out and still act Godless,
God is Soverign yet we still dare stress,
My inner core, so unrighteous!
Draw
me to read your Word oh Lord,
To forsake you I can not afford!
Will me to pray even when I'm bored,
May I love you more than anything, Lord!
